Most first time Moms anticipate for their first labor to be on the longer side and extensive. That’s what this Mom did in this birth film, and to everyone’s surprise she showed up to her prenatal appointment already 8cm dilated. We all rushed to her home, even though during the birth team meeting we told her that wouldn’t happen - which is what everyone was joking about at the beginning of the film.

As time went on, it seemed as if her baby wasn’t going to be born anytime soon, and Mom started losing hope. You will see the student midwife and doula give Mom words of encouragement, and soon after her baby is born.
