This first time Mom was handling contractions so well, it completely passed us by how far dilated she actually was. She arrived to the birth center at 8cm dilated and we all rushed over as fast as we could. Mom labored calmly and was in control the whole time, and was a trooper as hours kept passing by and the midwifes were needed to do things to help the contractions pick up.
