First time Mom’s don’t have fast labors… right? During the birth team meeting where we all gathered in their home, we talked about how we don’t all show up at once as to not overwhelm the Mom in labor. As it turned out, the Mom was contracting while going to her prenatal appointment and after a quick cervical check they discovered she was 8cm dilated!

We all quickly rushed to her house and we all showed up once, which led to the laughs and jokes at the beginning of the film. Everyone rushed so fast and she did such a great job at distracting herself from labor, that the remaining time we were there seemed to go on forever in her eyes. Midway in the film you can hear the student midwife and doula giving her words of encouragement.
